The work on construction off two flyovers at Shilphata and Kalyan Phata on the Mumbra Panvel Road gained momentum after the TMC assured the MMRDA that it will clear encroachments along the stretch where the new bridges are planned. * over 500 students from 35 schools and junior colleges across the city participated in the Inter School badminton tournament organised by the TMC at the Sarad Pawar indoor sports complex in dhokali Hiranandani Foundation School won the tournament in two categories. *A 34 year old woman has been arrested by the anti human trafficking cell for allegedly forcing 2 school children into prostitution at kolsewadi in Kalyan. *The Thane Municipal Corporation has started monitoring the web usage being done by its employees during office hours ,the administration learnt that many of its staff have been downloading videos songs and surfing unofficial news on the Internet while at work. *The high demand for Orchids and Marigold flowers this festive season has resulted in an almost 40 % price spike in the lake city. * the TMC Deputy Mayor Rajendra Sapte walked down the nearly 6 kilometres stretch from his house in Kalwa to the Civic headquarters protesting against the administration failure in footing bills for repairing his car. *The streets have been lit up mandals decorated and households cleaned to welcome the Lord today.While everyone is busy preparing for the 10 day festivities the police and Civic authorities have already started working for the immersion day preparations that begin from tomorrow...
