THANE CITY HAPPENINGS *(Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has made provision for students to write the  science paper in Marathi  *To eliminate traffic congestion on the road between Kalyan and Shilphata, Public Works Minister eknath Shinde said he  has taken the initiative to advance the speedy construction on this path. *The district administration has said that Swine flu is under control in the district and  has  appealed to all , not to believe any of the rumors floating. *The immersion off the 5 day Ganpati idols remained a noisy affair in the lake City not sparing even the silence zones as noise levels test were as high as hundred decibels. *City swimmers made a mark at the Mumbai divisional interschool aquatic Championship and consolidated their births for the state competition *Advocate Shishir Hirey argued before the sessions court saying that high ranking TMC officials not only profited from the entire incident but also advised contractors on the measures to be taken to evade any action in the future, this was in regard to the lucky compound collapse *Activists Dr Mahesh Bedekar has recorded the violations of noise pollution and will approach the court seeking action against the erring mandals
